Deep Drawn Components

Using the metal forming technique known as deep draw, metal enclosures with a closed end or bottom can be created that are seamless and one piece.

Our enclosures are one piece, unlike fabricated enclosures, which means there are no welded corners or bottoms, no leak problems, and extremely stable dimensional repeatability. When welding expenses and leak testing are taken into account, deep drawn enclosures frequently offer a more affordable alternative than manufactured enclosures.

Deep drawn round enclosures are also a great substitute for welded tube, especially in applications where roundness and seamless construction are required. Issues with impact extrusion, another method of producing enclosures, are eliminated by the deep drawn approach. Impact extruded enclosures have a drawback in that there is no draft angle along the sidewalls.
